Tweety and Dodo

Tweety and Dodo are 2 rambunctious pit mixes that belong to proud mom Valerina and her teenage daughter Miriam. These two dogs hold a special place in Valerina’s heart because they belonged to her older daughter who was tragically murdered last year. Despite the chronic pain that Valerina experiences, it is important that she is able to keep Tweety and Dodo in honor of her late daughter. Dodo, in particular, has also developed a special bond with Miriam who is special needs and provides her with support every day.

Although determined and committed to keeping Tweety and Dodo, Valerina struggles with both physically and financially being able to care for these two special dogs. She reached out to Lifeline for help and was referred to Transitions Pet Care.

Thanks to the grant from Second Life, we’ve been able to get these two up to date on their vaccines and on monthly flea and heartworm preventative. We also have plans to get them spayed and neutered and set up with volunteers to help with walks.
