Baby

Baby is a sweet Chihuahua mix that we’ve been helping to care for for over a year. Her owner is a recent widower who lives alone with very little support. He had a stroke many years ago and continues to struggle with his mobility. This makes it hard for him to care for Baby whose needs were taken care of by her owner’s late husband. Luckily, a family member reached out to Transitions Pet Care for help and Baby now receives daily walks.

Recently, we noticed that Baby was scratching a lot so we made an appointment for her to be seen at the vet. It turned out that Baby had another skin infection that required antibiotics and twice weekly baths. Our volunteers have been able to take care of this for Baby thanks to the generous grant from Second Life that not only covered the vet visit, but also the medicated shampoo that Baby needed.
